Dr.
Beverly (Bev) A. Politzer: Principal, Strategic Marketing
As a consultant to high-tech companies, Dr. Politzer offers a wealth
of experience in industrial marketing as well as a strong and diverse
technical background.
In 1983, Bev Politzer founded Strategic Marketing, a highly successful,
marketing consulting company. Her areas of concentration have included:
instrumentation and controls for the process industries; automation
hardware and software; machine vision systems; analytical instruments;
and semiconductor metrology equipment. She has assisted a large number
of companies in the creation of winning market and product strategies,
new product assessment, business development, sales and distribution
strategies, pricing, and new product launches and marketing communication.
In addition to her consulting career, Bev Politzer has held numerous
positions as a global marketing and sales executive. Most recently,
she was Sr. Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service at NDC Infrared
Engineering, a worldwide supplier of process measurement and controls
in the paper, plastics and converting, and rubber industries. Prior
to that, she was Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Service for
Raytek Corp, a global supplier of infrared temperature sensors for online
monitoring in a wide range of applications such as glass, steel, cement,
semiconductor, paper, plastics, and food. As Division General Manager
at Impact Corp., she had operational responsibility for engineering
and manufacturing, in addition to sales, marketing and service. Bev
Politzer also has held key marketing positions at Ultratech Stepper,
a semiconductor equipment supplier, at Intec Corp., a machine vision
inspection company, and at Honeywell-Measurex Corp., a process control
company.
Throughout her industrial and consulting career, Ms. Politzer has demonstrated
a strong entrepreneurial bent with a solid track record in launching
and growing new products and businesses. She has extensive international
experience. She is a creative thinker with a flair for promotion and
generating new ideas. Her success in bringing technical products to
market is founded on ten years as a industrial physicist, instrument
designer, solid-state researcher and semiconductor process engineer.
Dr. Politzer holds a Ph.D. and M.S. in Physics from the Pennsylvania
State University. She is the author/co-author of over twenty technical
papers and trade articles and is a frequently invited speaker on factory
automation and technical marketing management. She is senior member
of the Instrument Society of America.
